Dörenther Klippen in Ibbenbüren, Duitsland

Today I traveled from Hörstel to the Dörenther Klippen in Ibbenbüren.
I spent the night in my car at a quiet spot in the woods so quiet, in fact, that I woke up quite late.

After waking up, I drove for another half-hour or so to reach the Dörenther Klippen.

The Dörenther Klippen consist of a roughly 4-kilometer-long stretch of rugged sandstone rock formations, 
some of which reach heights of up to 20 meters.
It was a fairly challenging hike, given that my energy levels and fitness could be better, and it was quite warm.

This is definitely a place worth visiting again.

Doktor’s Lock

Today, I went looking for the “Doktor’s Lock” in the German town of Hörstel and found it,
 it consists of two caves—not very deep, but the peaceful atmosphere in that area made 
for a successful day.
